A few days ago the British Colombo Chamber through its Learn From the Masters program met with Dimitri Zaninovich, Director of the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI). In this meeting our affiliates and other guests managed to know firsthand the main projects and results of the entity in the last government.
The ANI was created in 2011, which is in charge of the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) concessions, and gives life to the 4G road project, made up of 30 road infrastructure projects, which is done by the PPP program more great of Latin America.
Thanks to this program, Colombia went from having 1% to 3% of GDP in infrastructure investment, which means that investment currently reaches 6.95 million pesos per year. This investment has achieved bridges, tunnels, roads, airports, railways, among others. One of the most outstanding examples of these projects has been El Dorado International Airport, which went from 50,000 m² to 224,000 m², which positioned it as the best airport in Latin America and one of the 100 best airports in the world.
It was also announced that the Prosperity Fund of the United Kingdom made an investment for the recovery of the country’s railways.
